Waterfall Canvas Print, Golden Water Over Stone Weir Wall Art, Square Nature Photography

Close in on the lip of a stone weir, where the river pours over in a curved curtain of amber and gold ribbons and lands in churning white foam, with wet dark rock and green leaves along the top edge.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

Taken close and square, so the whole frame is water. The top half is smooth and gold where the river is still one sheet, the bottom half is white and broken where it hits, and the line between the two is the whole picture. Held just long enough to blur the foam into cream without losing the separate strands falling over the edge.

About the colour: the gold is not the light, it is the water itself. Rivers that drain bog and forest carry humic acids leached out of peat and fallen needles, which stain them the colour of weak tea. You only see it where the water runs thin, so a river that looks black from the bank turns amber the moment it spills over a ledge.

This is a square print, easy to hang on a narrow wall, above a desk or in a grid with others, and it suits a bathroom, hallway, bedroom, living room or office. A good gift for anyone who loves rivers, falling water and the sound that goes with it.
