Golden Sunset Canvas Print, Gold Sea and Sky Wall Art, Warm Coastal Landscape Photo

Some rooms never get the sun. North facing, or one small window, or a flat where the light gave up at two in the afternoon and moved next door. Paint does not fix it and neither does a lamp. A big warm picture does.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

This is about as warm as a photograph gets. The sun is dropping behind cloud at the end of the day, the whole sky has gone to amber and bronze, the land has flattened into one dark band, and the water underneath has turned into a sheet of beaten gold with the sun's path running straight down the middle of it. The colour is worked warm rather than left as the camera found it, which is the honest way to say that it is a warm print made warmer on purpose.

Hung in a cold room it behaves the way a lit fireplace does. You are not going to mistake it for daylight, but the eye reads gold as heat, and a room with a large gold picture in it feels different from the same room without one. That effect needs size. A small warm print is a detail. A big one changes the room.

Photographed from height looking out over the sea, with no boats, buildings or people anywhere in the frame.

For a living room, a dining room, a north facing bedroom, a hallway or a basement office. A good gift for anyone who has just moved into somewhere darker than they hoped.

Each canvas is signed by the photographer in the lower corner.
