Christmas Wall Art Canvas Print, Snowy Spruce Forest Decor, Winter Landscape Photo

The problem with Christmas decorations is that you put them up in December and take them down in January, and for the other eleven months they sit in a box. A winter canvas is the one piece of festive decoration that earns its place on the wall from the first frost to the last thaw.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

This is the one for that job. Spruces loaded from tip to ground, bare white birch trunks standing between them, deep untouched snow underneath, and a sky running from blue through violet to a band of pink cloud low down where the sun is getting out of the way. It is a real forest on a real afternoon, not a set, and it has more actual Christmas in it than anything with a bauble on.

Hang it in late autumn and it makes the room feel like the season is coming. Leave it up in February and it is simply a good winter landscape. Nothing on it dates: no red, no gold, no lettering, no snowman.

It also solves a common problem with festive decor, which is that most of it is loud. These are quiet colours, blue, violet, white and dark green, so it sits happily above a fireplace or a dining table without shouting over the food and the candles.

For a living room, a dining room, a hallway, a bedroom or a cabin. A good gift in its own right, and an easy one to give early.

Each canvas is signed by the photographer in the lower corner.
