Great White Pelican Portrait Canvas Print, Pink Pelican Bird Photography, Coastal Wall Art

A great white pelican in close profile, its long bill resting against the curve of its neck, the bright yellow pouch glowing against soft green grass.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

The feathers carry a faint pink blush, from the shaggy crest down the elegant S-bend of the neck to the soft plumage of the back, and the edge of the bill shades from grey to red at the hooked tip. The calm pose and gentle colours make it a restful picture to live with.

About the bird: great white pelicans breed from south-eastern Europe across Asia and Africa, and they often fish in groups, swimming in a horseshoe to drive fish into the shallows before scooping them up in that enormous pouch.

Printed in portrait format, it suits a bathroom, bedroom, hallway or coastal-style living room, and makes a charming gift for anyone who loves birds or the seaside.
