Windswept Rocky Shore Canvas Print, Surf Streaming Over Granite Slabs, Coastal Photography

Storm waves break white along a windswept shore, and the surf streams back over smooth grey granite slabs and a rust red boulder in the foreground as the next wave builds behind.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

A rock splashed with orange lichen sits in the middle of the surf, the deep blue sea churns beyond it, and the wet stone in front glows red and gold against all that cool water. It is the shore at its wildest, full of movement from edge to edge.

About the place: rock slabs as smooth as these were scraped and polished by the ice sheet that covered Scandinavia in the last ice age, up to around three kilometres thick in places, and the waves have kept polishing them ever since.

Printed in landscape format, it brings the drama of the coast into a living room, bathroom, bedroom or office, and makes a fitting gift for anyone who loves the sea in stormy weather.
