Forest River Canvas Print, Summer Pine Woods Wall Art, Large Nature Photography

Northern summer is short and everybody who lives through one knows exactly how short. A few weeks of proper warmth, water you can swim in, light that will not go away at night, and then it is over. This is what people up there are picturing in February.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

A wide river running out of the frame between two walls of spruce, clear enough to show the stones on the bottom near the bank, with a grass covered rock in midstream, pale sand at the water's edge, and a proper summer sky full of white cumulus. No buildings, no boats, no people, no path. Just the river going somewhere.

There is nothing clever about this photograph and that is the point of it. Most of this shop is strong colour, odd angles and things seen from the air. This is the straightforward version: a place you would like to be, photographed as it was, on the best kind of day.

Printed large at 24 by 36 inches, so the depth works. The river leads your eye into the distance, and at this size that carries a wall on its own.

For a living room, a dining room, a hallway, an office or a summer house. It also makes an obvious pair with any of the winter forest prints, which is worth knowing if you like the idea of the same country in two seasons on one wall.

Each canvas is signed by the photographer in the lower corner.
