Ah, bird photography. It’s one of my most exciting and rewarding hobbies, but it can also be one of the most frustrating. Have you ever been out in the field with your DSLR and a telephoto lens, ready to capture that perfect shot, only to have the bird fly away before you can snap a picture? Or maybe you’ve been out in the rain, trying to get the perfect angle, only to have the bird move to a different branch? If so, then you know what I’m talking about. 

 But, don’t give up! With a little patience, persistence, and a sense of humor, you can still get those amazing photos of our feathered friends.

Here are a few tips for getting the perfect bird shot:  

1. Don’t be afraid to get close. You may be tempted to stay far away, in order to get a better angle or a better shot, but don’t be afraid to get up close and personal with your subject. 

 2. Be patient. Birds aren’t in a hurry, and they’re not going to move until they’re good and ready. So take your time and wait
