Flying Geese Canvas Print, Grey Sky Minimalist Wall Art, Large Bird Photography Decor

Most pictures are chosen for a room. A few are chosen for a person, and given. This is one of those.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

Nine geese going across a heavy grey sky, softened almost to brushstrokes, already half gone into the cloud. The shutter was held open long enough that each bird has drawn its own short line rather than sitting still on the frame, so what you are looking at is not an instant but a second or so of movement, which is closer to how leaving actually looks.

It does not tell you what to feel about that, and it should not. Some people will hang it because a departure is on their mind, a move, a loss, a child grown and gone. Others will hang it because it is nine marks on a grey field and it settles a room down. Both are the right reason.

If you are buying it as a gift after a death or a goodbye, it is worth saying that it carries no writing, no words, no date and nothing sentimental on it anywhere. It is simply a quiet picture, which is usually what people want in that situation and rarely what they are offered.

Printed large at 24 by 36 inches, and the size matters here: at any smaller scale the birds stop reading and it turns into an empty grey rectangle. Suits a bedroom, a hallway, a landing, a study or a quiet corner, and it hangs well against white, grey, pale green or wood.

Each canvas is signed by the photographer in the lower corner.
