Blue Headed Lizard Canvas Print, Tree Agama on Bark, African Wildlife Photography

A lizard with a brilliant electric blue head clings head first down the rough grey bark of a tree, its brown, finely scaled body and long tail stretching up behind it.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

The blue is startling against the pale, cracked bark and the soft green blur beyond, and the little dark eye is fixed straight on the camera. Held still in that downward pose, it has the poise of something that knows exactly how fast it can leave.

About the animal: this looks like a male tree agama in breeding colour. Male agamas turn vivid blue on the head and shoulders during the season, fading back to dull brown when the display is over, so a head this bright is a short-lived sight.

Printed in landscape format, it brings a jolt of colour to a living room, study, office or child's room, and makes an unusual gift for anyone who loves reptiles or African wildlife.
