Crashing Wave Canvas Print, Storm Sea and Orange Rock Wall Art, Coastal Photography

There is one morning every year when it has actually happened. Not a dusting that is gone by lunchtime. The real thing, overnight, and every tree is carrying it, and the whole country has gone quiet and white and stays that way for months. If you grew up somewhere that happens, you know the feeling, and if you have moved away from it you miss it more than you expected to.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

This is that morning. Spruces bowed under the weight, branches pulled down and out of shape, an unmarked bank of snow across the foreground, and above it a sky with nothing in it at all, no blue, no cloud edge, no sun, just flat white.

That empty sky is worth having. It gives the print room to breathe, the way a margin does on a page, so the trees sit low in the frame and the top third is simply light. It is the kind of composition that stops a wall feeling crowded, and it means this one hangs comfortably next to other pictures instead of fighting them.

Almost no colour. White, grey, and a dark green so muted it barely counts. It will go with anything.

For a bedroom, a hallway, a landing, a home office or a cabin. A good gift for anyone from the north, anyone who has moved south and says they do not miss the snow, and anyone who does.
