Elephant Holding Sand in Its Trunk Canvas Print, African Savannah Safari Photography

An African elephant walks toward the camera with its trunk stretched straight out in front, a clump of soil gripped in the tip, ready to throw over its back.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

Taken from low down, the elephant towers against a wide sky of white cloud, with green savannah, low bushes and a dirt track stretching away behind. The outstretched trunk leads the eye straight into the picture, and the fine grip on that handful of earth shows just how precise such a huge animal can be.

About the animal: the tip of an African elephant's trunk has two small finger-like points that can pick up something as small as a single seed, or, as here, close around a handful of soil without dropping it.

Printed in landscape format and offered in the large 24 x 36 in size, it makes a powerful centrepiece for a living room, hallway or office, and a memorable gift for anyone who has been on safari or dreams of going.
