Monochrome Boulder Seascape Canvas Print, Silky Long Exposure Sea, Minimalist Black and White Art

In soft black and white, a giant boulder rises from a still sea surrounded by smooth, rounded stones, the water turned to glassy silver by a long exposure beneath a pale, streaked sky.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

Without colour, everything becomes shape and tone: the great stone standing alone, the rocks in the foreground mirrored in the calm water, and a thin line of islands on the far horizon. It is quiet, spare and timeless, a picture that seems to slow the room down.

About the technique: to blur moving water into mist in daylight, photographers use very dark filters, like sunglasses for the lens, so the shutter can stay open for many seconds while the stones stay sharp.

Printed in landscape format and offered in the large 24 x 36 in size, its greys and silvers suit a minimalist, Scandinavian or modern interior, a bedroom, bathroom or living room, and it makes a calming gift for anyone who loves the coast.
