Shropshire Hills Storm Canvas Print, Lightning Over Moorland at Sunset, English Landscape Photography

A bolt of lightning strikes behind a heather-covered hill in the Shropshire Hills, while on the other side of the sky the setting sun burns orange through the storm clouds.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

Below, the moorland rolls down in shades of green, rust and purple heather to a stream winding through the valley floor, with a narrow path climbing the slope on the right. Storm and sunset in the same frame is a rare moment, and it gives the whole landscape a glow of drama.

About the place: the Shropshire Hills were among the first areas in England protected for their natural beauty, in 1958, and their heather moorland and deep valleys draw walkers from all over the country.

Printed in landscape format and offered in the large 24 x 36 in size, it makes a striking centrepiece for a living room, study or office, and a meaningful gift for anyone who loves the English countryside or grew up in Shropshire.
