King Vulture Looking Over Its Shoulder Canvas Print, Exotic Bird Photography, Wildlife Wall Art

A king vulture turns its head right over its shoulder, showing the full sweep of colour on its bare face: orange wattle, crimson and yellow skin, and a pale eye ringed in red above a grey ruff and creamy white body.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

The twist of the neck puts that extraordinary head against soft green, while the thick white plumage of the shoulders fills the lower half of the frame like a fur collar. It has the look of a formal portrait, if the sitter happened to be a vulture.

About the bird: king vultures have very little feathering on the head and neck, which keeps them clean while feeding, and their powerful bill opens tough hides that smaller vultures cannot manage, so the others often wait for one to arrive before they can feed.

Printed in landscape format, it makes a bold, characterful piece for a study, hallway or office, and a memorable gift for anyone who loves unusual birds.
