Bull Elephant Canvas Print, Dust Throwing African Elephant Wall Art, Large Wildlife Photo

A bull elephant walks straight at the camera with his trunk curled in tight, the dirt he has just thrown still hanging in the air above him, on green grass with a termite mound standing behind his shoulder.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

Taken low and close, so he fills the frame from the grass to the sky. Every fold and crack in the grey hide is sharp, one tusk is worn shorter than the other, the ears are held loose and wide, and the legs are dark with dried mud to the knee. Shot in portrait, which suits a tall wall where he can stand at full height.

About the dust: elephants throw soil and sand over their backs on purpose. The layer blocks the sun, keeps biting insects off the thin skin behind the ears and around the eyes, and holds moisture against the hide, so it works as sunscreen, insect repellent and cooling in one. A bull will usually roll or spray himself several times a day.

This is a big canvas, 24 by 36 inches, made to be the one piece on a wall in a living room, hallway, study or office, and a strong gift for anyone who loves elephants or African wildlife.
