Aerial Coastal Road Canvas Print, Autumn Forest and Sea Wall Art, Drone Landscape

Some roads are transport and some roads are the reason for the trip. You can tell which this is from the air: it does not go straight anywhere, it follows the water, and there are mountains waiting at the end of it.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

The whole picture is built on that curve. The road comes in at the bottom, swings out along the shore, doubles back around the headland and runs away into the haze, with dark water on one side, autumn forest on the other, and blue hills stacked along the horizon. Four or five cars on it in total. Nobody is in a hurry.

Seen from above, a road stops being infrastructure and becomes a drawn line, and that is what makes aerial photographs of them so satisfying to look at. Your eye has no choice but to follow it, and it takes you through the entire frame and out the far end.

The colour has been cooled towards mauve and grey, which takes the postcard out of it and leaves something closer to a memory of a drive than a photograph of one.

For a hallway, a study, an office, a stairwell or a garage. A proper gift for anyone who plans holidays around the driving, cyclists, motorcyclists, and anyone who has done that road.

Each canvas is signed by the photographer in the lower corner.
