Stormy Baltic Sea Canvas Print, Waves on Lichen Covered Rocks, Moody Seascape Photography

Grey waves roll in from a wide, stormy horizon and burst into white spray over the rocks, beneath a heavy sky of lilac and slate grey cloud.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

In the foreground the smooth grey granite is streaked with rust and patched with bright orange lichen, and foam runs in rivers between the stones. The sea stretches all the way to the horizon, restless and endless, the kind of view that makes you feel very small in the best way.

About the place: the orange patches on the rocks are lichen, which thrives on sea-sprayed shore rocks where seabirds rest, and which grows so slowly that some patches along the Baltic coast may be many decades old.

Printed in landscape format, it brings the drama and space of the open sea to a living room, study or office, and makes a fitting gift for anyone who loves the coast in all its moods.
