Elephant Flinging Dust Over Its Shoulder Canvas Print, African Safari Photography

An African elephant walks toward the camera across green savannah, trunk curled low, while a spray of dust it has just flung over its shoulder hangs in the air beside it.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

Its skin is caked in earth from earlier dust baths, one tusk shows beneath the great folded ear, and the grassy slope, acacia trees and cloudy blue sky stretch out behind. It is everyday elephant life, full of character and caught at exactly the right moment.

About the animal: an elephant's trunk can hold several litres of water at a time, and it works just as well for scooping up dust, which elephants throw over their backs to protect their skin from sun and biting insects.

Printed in landscape format and offered in the large 24 x 36 in size, it makes a lively centrepiece for a living room or office, and a memorable gift for anyone who has been on safari or dreams of going.
