Tallberg Railway Bridge in Winter Canvas Print, Aerial Swedish Forest Photography, Tallbergsbroarna

Seen from the air, the old steel railway bridge at Tallberg spans the dark Öre River on tall lattice towers, surrounded by forest frosted white under a heavy winter sky.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

The river curves away beneath the bridge between icy banks, the frost-covered spruce and birch stretch to the hills on the horizon, and the fine steel latticework stands out crisp and pale against the deep blue water. It is engineering and wilderness in one frame.

About the place: Tallbergsbroarna are three railway bridges crossing the Öre River at Slätforsen, near Nyåker in Nordmaling, in northern Sweden. This steel lattice bridge is the oldest of them, built in 1891 for the Northern Main Line, 164 metres long and 37 metres above the river. The two later bridges followed in 1919 and 1994.

Printed in landscape format and offered in the large 24 x 36 in size, it makes a striking centrepiece for a living room, study or office, and a memorable gift for railway enthusiasts and anyone from Västerbotten or Ångermanland.
