Red Timber Bridge Canvas Print, River Landscape Art

Red is the hardest colour to find in a landscape and the most useful one to own. Most scenery gives you green, blue and brown, which is restful and does nothing for a room. Here the strongest colour in the frame is a deep barn red, and it is not a leaf or a sunset, it is a solid object holding the middle of the picture.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

A wooden truss bridge, painted red, crossing fast shallow water on a raft of boulders, with birches turning yellow on the far bank and spruce standing dark behind them. Nothing about it is grand. This is the kind of bridge built to get a road across a river and nothing more, and it has been doing that job quietly for decades.

That ordinariness is why it works. A famous bridge is somebody else's landmark. This one could be anywhere you have been, and it carries the feeling most people actually want from a landscape print: a place, a crossing, and the sense that the road keeps going.

Practically, it is one of the easiest prints to decorate around. If your room already has red, terracotta, warm wood or copper in it, this ties the whole wall together. Against grey or white it works the other way and becomes the single point of heat.

For a living room, a dining room, a hallway, a study, a cabin or a holiday home. A good gift for walkers, anglers, and anyone who grew up somewhere with a river running through it.
