Bull Elephant Canvas Print, Black and White Animal Wall Art

A close portrait of an African bull elephant in black and white, his great ear, wrinkled head and short, worn tusk filling the frame against a stormy sky.

Printed and shipped from the US for US orders, and normally from Canada for Canadian orders and from Latvia, inside the EU, for European orders, so buyers in Canada and the EU should not pay customs fees.

Without colour, the picture is all texture: deep folds around the eye, a network of cracks across the ear and a fine spatter of dust and mud over the skin. The dark clouds behind give the portrait a quiet, powerful mood, like a face that has seen many seasons on the savannah.

About the animal: the deep cracks and wrinkles in an elephant's skin hold on to water and mud far longer than smooth skin would, helping to keep these huge animals cool under the African sun.

Printed in landscape format, its black and white tones suit a modern, minimalist or monochrome interior, a living room, study or office, and it makes a striking gift for anyone who loves elephants or has been on safari.
